Will Congress Stand Up to a Bully or Again Strip PP Defunding?

A showdown between the pro-life House and the pro-abortion Senate is coming to a head on or before April 8 when the current Continuing Resolution to keep the government operating expires. The latest version was stripped of its Planned Parenthood de-funding provision, apparently in an effort to appease the Senate into accepting its other budget-cutting provisions.  

It is now time for the House to find its courage and stand up to the Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid and call his bluff on his bullying tactics! It should be made clear that the GOP is doing what it was sent to Washington in a November 2010 tsunami to do - defend Life and cut the spending. Time to go on the offense, Republicans, and place the blame for any government shutdown where it belongs: squarely on the small shoulders of the Senate Democrat Majority Leader and his big-spending, pro-abortion colleagues in the Senate! The paltry cuts which the Democrats have suggested are not even half of the $51 billion which Republicans have offered.  

The Democrats are NOT serious about budget cutting and the GOP MUST stand up to them at some point. If not now, when? Will they be any more agreeable to a conservative budget for next fiscal year than they are for the remaining part of this fiscal year? Of course not! You don't deal with a bully by backing down and it's time to stand up for conservative principles, Republicans!
